Senior services without VAT
IsoJoo is supervised by the Regional State Administrative Agency and registered with SOTERI, so we can, under certain conditions, offer the service to seniors and other special groups without VAT. A medical certificate is usually not required – old age or another disability that prevents full independence is sufficient as a reason. Combined with the household deduction, the hourly price drops to 25.79 euros.
The service can be ordered by a senior for themselves or by a child or grandchild for their parent. A big relief for many families – and peace of mind in both directions.

How much does house cleaning cost?
Regular house cleaning costs €32.37/h after household deduction. Without deduction, the hourly rate is €49.80/h. For example, a three-hour house cleaning costs around €97.11 after deduction basic fee of €12.80. Also ask about discounted prices, which are available at certain times.
What is a household deduction?
Thanks to the household deduction, you can deduct 35% of the work portion directly from the taxes you would otherwise have to pay – this is a direct tax subsidy for you. The maximum amount is €1600/person/year (2026) and the deductible is €150. More information: Taxpayer: Household deduction ›
What time is the hourly rate calculated from?
Simply put: the hourly charge starts when the cleaners arrive at your place and ends when they leave. In the Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen and Vantaa areas, the trip does not count towards the hourly charge, so the charge is very transparent.Will there be additional costs?
There are no additional charges for typical home cleaning, move-out cleaning, and window cleaning – standard equipment, tools, and materials are included in the price. We want to keep our pricing simple and transparent.
In addition to the hourly rate, we charge a basic fee of €12.80 for each cleaning session, which covers a small portion of travel expenses. All prices include VAT at 25.5%, except for the VAT-exempt senior service.
Certain powered garden equipment (such as brushcutters and lawnmowers) and large steam cleaners incur a small, well-justified surcharge. All prices are clearly stated before booking – no surprises.
Can I be at home during the cleaning?
Of course you can. However, we hope that our cleaners will have peace of mind at work. Many customers schedule cleaning at a time when they are away – it's nice to come home to a clean and fresh home. But the choice is yours.Do I have to give the cleaner a key to my house?
It is not mandatory if you can arrange entry in another way. However, you can safely give us your house key – we will keep it in a safe, and the key will only contain a secret code (no name or address). You will receive a receipt from reception, and we will be responsible for its safekeeping. You can also tell us where to keep the spare key or come meet you at the door.What does the cleaner think of my home?
Don't worry. Our professional cleaners don't judge your home, they just focus on their job. Our cleaners are most satisfied when they make a big difference to the comfort of your home. So don't spend your time cleaning your home for the cleaner.
Will my privacy be preserved?
Our cleaners are discreet and have signed a strict confidentiality agreement. Homes are not discussed even among cleaners unless it is a shared destination.
The cleaners will not open any cupboards or drawers in your home unless specifically agreed. We can also agree to exclude certain areas from the cleaning process. The cleaners will not take pictures in your home unless it is something they want to share with you. So you can be completely confident that your privacy will be maintained.
We also clean embassies, for example, where complete confidentiality is valued. Your home will be treated with just as much confidentiality.
What if I'm not completely satisfied with the end result?

Is it mandatory to sign a binding cleaning contract?
No. We do not force binding contracts, and it is not a condition of the service or any “special discount”. If you wish, we will of course be happy to make a fair cleaning contract – but normally the cleaning work does not require it. It is still a good idea to arrange regular cleanings well in advance in your calendar so that you get the most suitable times. Many of our regular customers book cleaning dates up to a year in advance.
